Jack Castlewhite

Jack Castlewhite is a writer and attorney based in Tampa, Florida.  He is currently revising the manuscript of a thriller tentatively titled “The Ash Maker” which he hopes to complete in the fall of 2016.

Jack graduated from Davidson College with a degree in History, and from The University of North Carolina School of Law where he was an Articles and Notes Editor for the U.N.C. Banking Law Institute Journal. He passed much of the last 17 years practicing real estate, land use and business law. Most of that time was spent working for law firms in North Carolina and Florida, but he also served for 7 years as general counsel and chief operating officer of a real estate company.

Whenever possible, Jack escapes to a cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains to write in isolation. When not writing, practicing law or throwing oversized tennis balls to his giant dog Cooper, Jack spends his time reading, listening to music, running, biking, shuffling and watching Arsenal soccer or Dallas Mavericks basketball.  He also enjoys spending Saturdays tracking back and forth between his writing office at home and the charcoal and wood smoker in the back yard, slowly smoking everything from ice cubes to brontosaurus ribs.

Jack resides happily with his wife and two dogs in Tampa, who all live subject to a cat named Edward who is strong in the dark side of the Force.
